EastEnders fans stunned as Phil returns to Walford a month after Dennis' tragic death

EastEnders fans were left stunned tonight as Phil Mitchell finally returned to Walford tonight - but it came at the worst possible moment after Dennis' funeral.

Grief-stricken Sharon has blamed her son's death on the Mitchells after their hand in the boat party tragedy.

Keanu had returned to Walford for revenge against the Mitchells and kidnapped Callum, demanding money from Ben to get him back.

However Phil was also seeking revenge against Keanu after he discovered he wasn't dead, leading to an explosive fight on a speed boat, which plowed into the party boat Dennis had been on.

Sharon's son ended up drowning - tragically on the same day she gave birth to her son with Keanu.

Phil disappeared on that night as he made a getaway from police, but returns to see Sharon.

After attending her son's funeral, Sharon was horrified tonight when she saw Phil for the first time since the boat disaster.

Tomorrow, Sharon will launch herself at estranged husband Phil and is furious to see him back.

Unsurprisingly, Sharon is furious to see him back on the Square and lashes out at Phil.

Ian tries to hold her back as she shouts a barrage of abuse at Phil and everything escalates.

Ian calls the police on Phil and he quickly makes an exit.

Later, Sharon manages to hunt Phil down in the Arches and the pair have a chat.

Will they be able to reconcile?
