EastEnders fans sickened as Martin sleeps with Sonia on Dot's sofa in front of Pauline

EastEnders fans were sickened on Boxing Day when Martin Fowler slept with Sonia.

It wasn't the act itself that infuriated viewers, as some have been praying for the pair to get back together for years, but the location.

The former couple started getting down and dirty on Dot Branning's sofa - the place where she sits down to watch Songs of Praise.

To make matters even worse, they were under the watchful eye of Martin's parents, Pauline and Arthur Fowler.

Sonia had gifted Martin with a photo of him as a baby with his parents before they started tearing each other's clothes off.

The camera even panned down to the framed photo while Martin and Sonia got jiggy.

Disgusted EastEnders viewers took to Twitter after watching the raunchy scenes.

One viewer said: "I’m absolutely just in shock about how to react to Martin and Sonia"

"Why's everyone so against martin and sonia. literally been waiting for this for months and i cannot stop crying," added another.

A third said: "Put me right off my After Eights #martin #sonia"

"D'ya mind being gross somewhere other than Dot's settee?! Martin and Sonia isn't the reunion I wanted!!," said a fourth.

Martin and Sonia gave into temptation after having an emotional heart-to-heart.

The fruit and veg stall owner, who recently became a killer, asked why she still loved him as he had done bad things and hurt people.

When Sonia went in for a kiss, Martin pushed her back, but snogged her back when she confessed her feelings.

Martin then started unbuttoning his shirt as they passionately embraced on Dorothy's sofa.

This happened after Sonia found weeping Martin hiding in a shed down at the allotments.

She took guilt-ridden Martin to see his hit-and-run victim lying unconscious in a hospital bed.

Struggling to speak, horrified Martin said: "He's fighting for his life. I can't..."

Telling Martin that he needed to be stronger for Bex, Sonia said: "Sometimes good people do bad things but for good reasons."
