EastEnders viewers think they have rumbled a shocking storyline at the forefront of the BBC soap's return to screens.
The show was forced to go off air in June after running out of episodes, amid the coronavirus pandemic.
EastEnders halted filming in March, and cast and crew only returned to filming in late June amid reports the show will "time jump" when it returns.
EastEnders may not be back on air until September, meaning months of storylines could be missed depending how the soap tackles the time frame.
But after the release of a backstage video about the return to filming posted on the show's social media, fans have come up with a chilling theory.
Watching the clip, featuring several of the cast, viewers were given a behind-the-scenes look at some of the new scenes being filmed.
In one of those scenes, Gray Atkins was apparently shown talking to Karen Taylor and Mitch Baker, the parents of his wife Chantelle.
Also spotted was her boss Kheerat Panesar, while the characters looked tense according to the viewers watching.
But it's something they thought they saw Grey say that has left them fearing the worst, and tipping Chantelle may have been killed off.
Many viewers thought they had spotted him saying the words: "She's dead," leading to them believing she may have been murdered in lockdown, before the time jump.
Chantelle and Gray are at the centre of a harrowing domestic abuse storyline, and he's been violent towards her for a while.
No one has learned the truth, while Kheerat has seemed suspicious.
Has something happened to Chantelle in lockdown, and have fans rumbled a devastating twist?
One fan said: "so this scene has gray, karen, kheerat and mitch in it and they all look distressed and does anyone else think it looks like Gray is saying 'she’s dead' omg."
Another tweeted: "Rumours have it that Grays going to end up killing Chantelle! I hope this is fake news! But with his anger he could by mistake. Guess we’ll have to wait n see."
A third added: "That does look like he is saying she's dead. So is there a chance once ee is back on air in august or September the first episode we find out Chantelle is dead? The episodes they would have filmed yesterday would probably have been the first ones for when it is back."
Chantelle is not featured in the clip, while details on what the scene is actually about are yet to be confirmed.
That said, would EastEnders really let slip what could be one of their biggest plots of the year?
Others watching the clip thought Gray actually said: "What's she said?"
While this is hopefully the case, it could spell the end for Gray and see his abuse exposed to the family.
EastEnders returns to BBC One later this year.
