EastEnders fans praise Danny Dyer's ‘chemistry’ with daughter Dani in sweet scenes

EastEnders fans praised the sweet scene between Danny Dyer and his daughter Dani Dyer as she joined the soap for a cameo on Tuesday.

Dani played Jeanette, the taxi driver who drove Danny's character Mick Carter to the hospital for Linda's scan, but she ended up going into labour herself.

"Thank you so much, you are literally my guardian angel," Mick told her as she picked him up.

Discussing Linda's pregnancy, Jeanette asked Mick if it was his first baby, and he said: "No, it's my sixth I suppose."

Jeanette replied: "You don't sound so sure, postman been busy, has he?" not realising Mick is secretly grappling with the fact the baby is Max's and not his.

Later, in the hospital, Jeanette's waters broke and she experienced contractions, so they swapped places and he drove her to the ward in her taxi.

She then told him he was her guardian angel instead, and apologised for her postman joke.

"I didn't mean that postman comment, honestly," she gushed.

"I hope Dave is half as good as you," she added, referring to her partner.

The happy experience persuaded Mick to accept Linda's baby despite his initial fears he would struggle to bond with it because Linda conceived it with Max during her affair.

But at the end of the episode, they decided to pretend to their friends and family that Mick was the father and lie about how far along she was.

One viewer tweeted: "Omg obsessed with this Danny Dyer and Dani Dyer collab on #EastEnders ".

"Danni and Danny have great on screen chemistry," added another.

A third wrote: "Danny and Dani Dyer together are hilarious".

"Dani Dyer and Danny Dyer on Eastenders acting together, loving it," gushed a fourth.

Dani recently welcomed her own first baby in real life, named Santiago, and revealed she was inspired by her own pregnancy when filming the scenes.

To be honest, I started looking at YouTube first to see how pregnant women act and then I realised I’ve been pregnant so I was better off relating to myself!

"I absolutely loved being pregnant, so it was mad having a bump back on and it made me miss my bump even more!"

On filming the scenes with her dad, she went on: "Filming was so much fun! I was so nervous as I haven’t done acting in a while!

"But they made me feel so relaxed and I absolutely loved the director he was brilliant and really gave me some good advice."

She added: "Yes we have acted together before but this was definitely a lot more than what we’ve done in the past and it was brilliant.

"I really love working with my dad he really does make work easy with whatever we do together."
