Eastenders fans overjoyed as Whitney and Khareet plan to bring down killer Gray

Tonight's episode of the East End soap showed Whitney Dean working with Kheerat Panesar to bring down serial killer Gray Atkins.

Whitney was distressed as she finally found proof that Gray was a monster and she found evidence that could prove Gray murdered his wife Chantelle Atkins last year.

Chantelle was tragically attacked and left to die by her violent husband last September, after she tried to leave him following years of violent abuse.

Chantelle kept quiet about the evilness Gray inflicted upon her and ultimately lost her life at his hands - but he has evade justice for his crimes.

Whitney had recently tried to access a domestic abuse forum that she realised Chantelle used in secret to open up on her abuse, and after figuring out the password to access it, was horrified at what she found.

The messages detailed both the physical and verbal abuse Chantelle suffered at home, with one sad message revealing Gray had called her a "b***h", an "idiot" and a "s**t", while another entry detailed the moment he punched her in the stomach.

In tonight's episode, Kheerat saw Whitney freak out after Gray put his hand on her shoulder and he pulled her aside for a chat.

He explained that he and Chantelle "had had something" between them, although they'd never even kissed, and he had loved her and wanted to help her to leave Gray.

Kheerat said he has been watching Gray and waiting for the right time after Gray told the police that Chantelle's death was an accident.

He said he had been watching and waiting for a year but still had no evidence that Gray had been abusive.

Whitney pulled her phone out as she said: "I do. I've got evidence. You've got him Kheerat."

Later on Whitney asked: "He killed her didn't he?" and Kheerat answered: "I think he did."

Whitney suggested they should go to the police, but Kheerat said it isn't proof that Gray killed Chantelle and instead suggested they come up with a plan to catch him out once and for all.

Fans were overjoyed as they saw an end may be in sight for Gray's killing spree and justice may finally be served.
