EastEnders fans notice huge gaffe as Jack Branning's business card shows spelling mistake

EastEnders bosses were left scratching their heads after eagle-eyed viewers noticed a huge blunder on Thursday night's episode.

Police officer Jack Branning - played by Scott Maslen - flashed his business card at one point in the episode, but fans couldn't help but point out a glaring error.

After putting his business card down on the table, it seems as though the copper's card was supposed to read "Metropolitan".

But fans pointed out that instead it read: "Detective Inspector Jack Branning, Metroplitan Police".

Fans were quick to point out the error, with one fan writing: "Detective Inspector Jack Branning, Metroplitan Police #EastEnders."

Another penned: "Love seeing #JackBranning's business card. #EastEnders."

This blunder comes just days after the soap suffered yet another on-screen gaffe this week.

Viewers noticed the error on Tuesday's episode, which featured a socially distanced wedding that delighted fans branded "bizarre".

Rainie Cross and Stuart Highway tied the knot in the middle of Albert Square as Stuart awkwardly got stuck in the wedding car after the battery died and he couldn't unlock the door.

Rainie - played by Tanya Franks - was initially furious but as the couple missed their spot in the church, they decided to just hold the ceremony right there in the road.

The sweet scenes showed an overjoyed Rainie and Stuart - played by Ricky Champ - read out their vows, before Rainie revealed she had a surprise announcement for Stuart.

"I'm pregnant!" she exclaimed, as Stuart was overwhelmed with emotion.

"We are going to be parents?" he asked, astonished, before whooping with joy and honking the car horn.

But some eagle-eyed viewers pointed out if the car's battery was dead, the horn wouldn't have worked.

One tweeted: "#EastEnders battery's so flat he can't unlock the door but the horn works perfectly."

"If the batteries dead how did the horn work ??? #Eastenders," wondered another.
