EastEnders fans in meltdown over Christmas 'teaser' as Phil Mitchell makes confession

EastEnders' Phil Mitchell certainly thinks son Ben and new love interest Callum Highway can go the distance, even if they're not official yet.

Phil made a confession about Christmas on the soap this year, that has left viewers in meltdown about the scenes to come.

Ben asked Callum out for a drink in the latest episode leaving him nervous, but it wasn't long before he agreed - and Ballum was officially taking off.

But he then got a little flustered when he bumped into his possible future father-in-law Phil in the café, leading to him racing out.

He turned to wife Sharon and referenced Ballum, suggesting, as fans had hoped, they'd be involved in the Christmas scenes together later this year.

A third commented: "OMFG it's finally happening Callum's adorable and cute smile when he read the text from Ben and yes Phil we can't wait for the family Christmas either so excited."

This was echoed by a fourth fan who predicted: "Phil saying “can’t wait for the family Christmas” foreshadowing him finding out about Sheanu and the baby not being his?"
