EastEnders fans in meltdown as they call new Lily Slater 'a mini Stacey' in debut

EastEnders fans recently learned Lily Slater had been recast with a new actress in the role, ahead of Stacey Fowler's return.

Original actress Aine Garvey has been replaced with newcomer Lillia Turner, with her debut airing on Tuesday night.

A clip shown on This Morning ahead of the episode showed the fallout to Stacey's epic return on Monday, with actress Lacey Turner making her comeback.

On Tuesday, fans finally meet the new actress now portraying Lily, and she's very familiar.

The sassy youngster is certainly a chip off the old block, and a mini version of Stacey.

She will certainly fit in well with the Slaters too judging by her cheeky behaviour already.

From her sassy walk, gobby attitude and even her outfit, she's got it down to a tee.

As the clip aired ahead of Tuesday night, fans were excited for what was to come for the youngster.

Stacey Fowler returned with daughter Lily (BBC)

Lily was shown shouting at her mum's former pal Ruby Allen, refusing to let her judge her, before being told to return to the car.

Fans couldn't get over the similarity between her and her mother.

One viewer wrote: "NEW LILY IS SO ICONIC."

EastEnders airs Mondays at 8:05pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:35pm, and Fridays at 8:30pm on BBC One.
