EastEnders fans howl as Sonia attacks man with hurling stick in violent return

EastEnders aired dramatic scenes on Friday night, that resulted in soap favourite Sonia Fowler making a violent return to Walford.

She stepped in to save niece Tiffany Butcher and Dot Cotton's granddaughter Dotty, after a customer from the club confronted the girls for fleecing him.

Dotty and Tiff have been running a scam at Ruby Allen's club, overcharging male customers.

But Greg found out, and followed them home demanding his money back or else.

Things got scary for the girls though as he threatened them, before disgustingly suggesting there were other ways they could pay him back as they did not have the cash.

As Tiffany and Dotty feared for their safety, Sonia suddenly whacked Greg over the head with a hurling stick sending him to the ground.

As he lay passed out on the floor, she joked: "And people say Duty Free is a waste of money..."

But Sonia has yet to uncover what the girls have been up to, and why Greg was in her house.

She's been in India taking a break from the Square, spending some quality time with her daughter Bex.

NHS nurse Sonia was struggling with the toll of the coronavirus pandemic, as a frontline worker facing long and distressing shifts.

Back in Walford, she has no idea Tiffany and her husband Keegan Baker have moved into the house without her consent.

So how will Sonia react to the girls' dangerous scam and the big changes while she has been away?

Never mind that, but how will Greg react to being knocked out by Sonia after being scammed?

Viewers will have to tune in on Monday to find out what happens next.

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
