EastEnders fans gutted as iconic moment is 'cut' from Who Killed Lucy Beale? episode

EastEnders fans were left gutted tonight after an iconic blunder was seemingly cut out from the live Who Killed Lucy Beale? episode.

Amongst all of the drama and tension, fans were given a giggle back in 2015 when actress Jo Joyner, who played Tanya Branning, referred to her co-star by his real name.

Her character Tanya had been speaking to Laurie Brett's Jane when she was supposed to have asked after Ian Beale.

Instead, she blurted out "How's Adam?" - referring instead to actor Adam Woodyatt.

The blunder has since become iconic for fans, so they were excited to see the moment on screen again this evening as the episode was aired.

But viewers were left bitterly disappointed after discovering that the moment had been edited out.

One fumed on Twitter : "They really cut the "How's Adam" out of this episode? This is bad @bbceastenders #EastEnders."

While another commented: "Who tuned in to this episode again just for the "How's Adam?" bit, for it to be edited out....‍♀️ #EastEnders."

A third wrote: "They edited out “how’s Adam?” ‍♂️ #eastenders."

However, the moment actually appeared in the episode before the episode tonight - which some fans pointed out after this evening.

One pointed out: "The “how’s Adam” moment was never in that episode! It was earlier in live week. They didn’t edit anything out #EastEnders."

Another wrote: "Oh I thought that was the who killed Lucy Beale and ‘how’s adam’ episode #EastEnders."

*EastEnders' classic episodes air Tuesdays at 7.30pm on BBC One
