EastEnders fans were left fuming at Mick Carter after he kissed Janine Butcher on Christmas Day.
Viewers of the BBC One soap were left feeling furious on Saturday night after Mick (Danny Dyer) leaned in to kiss Janine (Charlie Brooks) during the festive celebrations.
There has been a lot of will they, won't they for the pair as they grew closer last month, when they joined forces to challenge Peter Beale and tried to outbid him for sponsoring the Square's Christmas tree.
But now the pair have crossed the line and kissed - no doubt much to the devastation of Mick's wife Linda.
Fans were equally furious at Mick and took to social media to vent their anger.
"Mick don't let us down!!!! #EastEnders," one wrote.
Another added: "MICK WHYYYYYYYYYYY #eastenders."
A third shared: "What a surprise, one of Mick and Linda are cheating again #Eastenders," whilst a fourth added on Twitter : "Mick you naughty boy #Eastenders."
It comes after show bosses teased that Linda (Kellie Bright) would be making a shock return to the soap soon.
In scenes that will air next week on the BBC soap, Linda and her marriage to Mick are set to face the ultimate test after a tough two years which has seen their romance on and off the rocks.
Janine is determined to have Mick for herself, and quizzes him about what is going on between the pair of them as fans fear she could tear Mick and Linda apart for good.
Mick and Janine grew close last month as they discussed The Vic, with Mick admitting he has been struggling for cash. So the pair hatch a plan together to try and outbid Peter for the tree and he is less than impressed when he learns they succeeded.
The pair later shared a poignant moment as she opens up to him about a memory of her father, with Mick moving her with a kind word or two, prompting the start of a special bond for the pair.
