EastEnders fans are worried that Kush Kazemi might be Gray Atkins next victim ahead of his departure from the show.
Speculation followed after scenes in last night's BBC episode saw Kush - played by Davood Ghadami - sharing a lighthearted moment with Whitney, while Gray looked on.
In the scene, Kush told Whitney that he would buy her lunch if she was able to score a goal past him.
Whitney was left in fits of giggles as she managed to get the first shot part Kush - while Gray continued to silently rage.
The tense scene ended with Gray emerging in front of the pair before saying that he's got an idea.
"You're always doing it aren't you? Thinking about Mack and Mia. It's not a criticism, I really appreciate it," Gray said.
He added with a smirk: "In fact, it's got me thinking."
Viewers quickly rushed to speculate that Gray might be considering doing something to Kush next.
"Gray is going to kill Kush isn't he? Either that or he's going to control Whitney and try to kill her? Is Gray becoming Leo 2.0? @bbceastenders #eastenders " wrote one viewer.
"Mourning the lost potential of Whitney and Kush together, I wish he wasn’t leaving #EastEnders," wrote another.
A third added: "It’s the third kill that will make Gray a serial killer. Kush better make it out of Walford alive! #EastEnders."
Davood confirmed that he would be leaving the soap in 2021, however his exit storyline is yet to be unveiled.
Fans are also increasingly worried for Whitney after she became the focus of Gray's attention.
After years of emotional and physical abuse, Gray killed his wife Chantelle in September - with him injuring her and then leaving her to die.
In December, Tina Carter discovered what he had done before he also murdered her and disposed of her body.
