EastEnders fans fear Ben Mitchell will be killed off in twist after another beating

EastEnders viewers are questioning if a shock death for Ben Mitchell could well be on the cards, after he was once again beaten up in the latest episode of the BBC soap.

Ben, played by actor Max Bowden, has found himself bloodied and bruised a number of times since his return to Walford this summer.

In fact, viewers have lost count how many times he's been attacked with just some of the bust-ups including an attack by Stuart Highway, another from two men he deliberately wound up in a club, a fight with boyfriend Callum Highway and, now, Martin Fowler.

But viewers can't believe the character has been punched once again, with some even concerned of the lasting impact it could have on Phil Mitchell's son.

In the latest episode of the show, Ben pushed Martin too far after blackmailing him over the attack on his dad in August.

After threatening to get him in trouble with the law, Martin turned nasty and began to beat him up leaving him bloodied and bruised on the floor.

Delivering a series of brutal punches, Martin then threatened him to back off.

Of course this didn't even deter Ben, who later warned him to do as he says until he said otherwise.

Amid the drama, viewers took to Twitter after the attacks on Ben continued - and while some asked for them to stop, others wondered whether the character is headed for more danger.

One viewer said: "At this rate Ben Mitchell is gonna die from bleeding on the brain, he literally gets punches once an episode these days."

Another agreed: "How many more punches to the head can he realistically take before the trauma kills him?"

A third tweeted: "If they ever need to get rid of Ben Mitchell he can just die at any time from untreated brain trauma."

Meanwhile, a fourth added: "Ben's been beaten up more times than he's been recast."

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
