EastEnders fans convinced new character Suki is faking cancer in sick twist

EastEnders introduced a brand new Walford matriarch last night in Suki Panesar.

Actress Bavlinder Sopal has joined the BBC One soap opera as the head of the Panesar family who definitely rules her clan with an iron fist.

Daughter Ash Kaur (Gurlaine Kaur Garcha) is estranged from her mother following their clashes about sexuality and abortion, but scenes last night saw the pair talk after Suki arrived on Albert Square and collapsed after seeing her daughter.

The Panesar family are aware that Suki is terminally ill and are all keen to take care of her.

However, EastEnders fans on social media are convinced that Suki is not ill at all and is merely faking having cancer for her own ends.

One fan wrote on Twitter: "Convinced that Suki is lying about her cancer btw #EastEnders"

Another viewer asked: "So does Suki really have cancer & dying or is she faking  #EastEnders"

Meanwhile, another fan tweeted: " #EastEnders suki she's trouble can see ahead, she's faking her illness"

One Twitter user predicted: "Suki is faking it and is manipulating her children. She's been in 1 episode and already pissed me off! #EastEnders"

Is Suki manipulating her entire family? (BBC / Jack Barnes)

Finally, one still loved what she was bringing to the show: "She's great, the Panesars are already good but now Suki's here it all clicks together #EastEnders'

We'll just have to wait and see what Suki has in store for us as tonight she seeks to convince Kheerat to buy an office near the Square - what is she up to?

EastEnders continues tonight at 7.30pm on BBC One.
