EastEnders fans convinced dead character is secretly still alive after Lucas twist

EastEnders' Lucas Johnson believes he has found a way to save his daughter from the dodgy dealings she has got herself caught up in, with a shocking plan - but fans are questioning if his suspicious behaviour could reveal a dead character as actually still alive.

Lucas appeared to confirm he wanted to send Chelsea Fox to prison in the latest episode of the BBC soap, leaving fans stunned he would betray his own daughter.

It appears he is planning on setting her up amid the job he's been forced to do for her and Caleb.

Chelsea fears there is no way out of the job she's been tasked with, with her forced to smuggle drugs out of the country - with Lucas being the carrier.

But Lucas knows exactly what he's let himself in for, and claimed his daughter needs to "repent" for the life she is leading - referencing the death of his son Jordan because he could not save him despite his prayers.

Lucas confirmed former character Jordan's death earlier this year, telling ex Denise he had died from a heroin overdose.

In the latest episode, Lucas took Chelsea to a church and urged her to change her ways, telling her there was always a choice.

He referenced how he used to pray for Jordan because he was lost, but Chelsea told him Jordan's drug addiction wasn't anyone's fault.

Later on after Lucas used Jordan's identity again, this time to set up a job interview in a bid to confront Caleb, fans questioned his death and why Lucas was using his name.

No one had seen Jordan die as it happened off screen, and now many viewers are questioning if he could still be alive - not satisfied with the twist, and also unsure about Lucas' behaviour.

But then Lucas dropped a twist of his own, by confirming to the Pastor that he was planning on getting Chelsea sent to prison for the crime they had coming up - wanting to help her "repent".

He claimed she needed the space and time that he had while he was in prison to reflect, hinting he was going to drop her in it.

One stunned fan responded: "Wait Lucas going to snitch on Chelsea to the police?!?! Lordddd."

Another tweeted: "YES LUCAS !! Chelsea is a horrid, get her sent down."

As for the theories on Jordan, a fan wrote: "I don’t think Jordan is dead though."

A second said: "I don’t think Jordan is dead."

Another added: "I still refuse to believe Jordan is dead sorry."

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
