EastEnders fans baffled at Jay's 'ghost neck' in bizarre technical glitch

EastEnders fans were left confused on Tuesday's show during a scene with Honey and Jay Brown.

Honey turned up to tell Jay that she loved him and wanted to make a go of things, despite being married to Billy Mitchell, who recently discovered their affair.

Billy visited foster son Jay with Honey and said he forgave them both - but Honey made it clear later on that she could not let go of her feelings, despite having practically raised Jay.

But as Jay listened to Honey pour her heart out, viewers were rather distracted by a bizarre technical glitch.

For several seconds, Jay's collar appeared on its own in a little bubble on the screen next to him.

When the camera cut back to him again, it was gone - but not before eagle-eyed fans had taken to Twitter to discuss it.

One wrote: "So, Jay’s neck did a little levitating earlier #EastEnders".

" #EastEnders Jay with just a neck and shirt in the background, not good filming #EastEnders," added another.

A third joked: "Tonight we found out Jay had a twin who was playing around with the invisibility cloak but we spotted him! #EastEnders ".

" #eastenders Jays got a ghost neck," added a fourth.

Meanwhile, Lucas Johnson was brutally attacked in front of his daughter Chelsea after someone put a hit out on him.

He had just received a warning from Phil Mitchell to stay away from Denise Fox, as a favour to Denise's dad Patrick as part of a deal to let him see his son Raymond.

He was ambushed and brutally beaten by hooded men until he fell silent.

Chelsea watched in horror, locked in the car, banging on the windows and screaming: "No! Dad!"

But fans were left wondering who put the hit out on him.

Was it really Phil? Or one of Lucas' many other enemies?

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
