EastEnders' Danielle Harold looks worlds away from Albert Square in glam real life

Danielle Harold looked almost unrecognisable from her dowdy EastEnders' character as she stepped out in the sunshine for a shopping trip in London.

The 27-year-old actress is best known to fans as outspoken young mum Lola Pearce.

But away from Albert Square, Danielle leads a much more glamorous life as her recent outing reveals.

The soap star was papped in Elstree wearing a chic black minidress accessorised with a Gucci belt and some stylish aviator shades.

While she was clad head to toe in designer-wear, Danielle's striking platinum blonde hair was a sure giveaway of her infamous soap alter ego.

The actress returned to the BBC soap in April this year after a four year break.

Danielle admitted she was relieved to be back as she was offered a string of 'sleazy roles' since leaving the show in 2015.

Explaining the reason behind her comeback, Danielle told the Mirror: "I was stereotyped – it was the classic prostitute or pole dancing role. I think it was because of my blonde hair."

Though the telly star did find success playing a doctor in horror film Fanged Up, but admits she couldn’t wait to get her teeth back into her old role.

“Fanged Up was filmed in a prison, there was fake blood everywhere. It was quite scary,” she said.

“I went from a prison to Walford. I couldn’t wait to be back.”

But her time away wasn’t all doom and gloom.

She was invited to the Cannes Film Festival where she bumped into childhood heroes including John Travolta and Pulp Fiction co-star Uma Thurman.

Danielle got her big break as EastEnders’ feisty ex-care home kid who thieved, got nicked by police and then got pregnant to killer Ben Mitchell.

But the co-star she missed most was Perry Fenwick, 56, who plays Lola’s granddad.

“I kept in contact with Perry – he is like my dad, I love him so much,” she says.

“It was so overwhelming coming back. You think, do they know who I am? You get really nervous.”
