EastEnders confirms who survives deadly boat tragedy as spoilers tease aftermath

EastEnders will air dramatic scenes next week resulting in tragedy, as one character is killed off in a boat stunt.

Several big storylines culminate into one huge night in Walford and on the River Thames, playing out across four episodes.

The 35th anniversary scenes will see many characters fighting for their lives, with names including Phil Mitchell, Keanu Taylor, Ian Beale and Mick and Linda Carter all facing danger.

Exact details are being kept under wraps, while a trailer teased Keanu, Ben and Phil's final showdown would trigger the shocking events.

Characters are seen struggling for survival in the water, with it teased a number of residents are heavily involved.

Now, new spoilers released on the BBC EastEnders website have confirmed who survives.

While very few details are given as to what goes down and who dies, the spoilers do tease the immediate fallout to the tragedy.

Not only that, but a number of characters are mentioned - as others are left out.

Life will never be the same again for some favourites, as more than one family is torn apart and left in turmoil.

It seems a secret could be brewing too, as one person's lies are soon unravelling.

Gray Atkins is feeling the pressure over something, meaning he survives the devastation.

Ian and Dennis aren't mentioned in the next spoilers (BBC/Kieron McCarron/Matt Burlem/Amy Sharp)

Whitney Dean also gets a mention, with it confirmed she's struggling to cope.

Lola Pearce and Jean Slater also appear in the spoilers, with Shirley, Stuart, Keegan and Tiffany also mentioned.

Stuart takes matters into his own hands, while Lola is surprised and Shirley is left unsettled.

Names not mentioned include all those caught up in the big scenes including Dennis Rickman, Ian, Mick, Linda, Phil and Ben.

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
