EastEnders confirms when Phil Mitchell will be attacked as episode date revealed

EastEnders recently confirmed soap legend Phil Mitchell would be attacked and left for dead in a shocking new storyline.

Now, it’s been confirmed just how soon the scenes will play out, with the BBC soap releasing which dates the episodes will air.

In new short spoilers for the soap, it’s been announced that Phil’s attack will play out at the end of this month, in one of the most dramatic soap weeks of the year.

The episodes kick off on Monday 29th July, all the way through to Friday 2nd of August.

It’s thought the main episode will air on Tuesday 30th July, as on Thursday the fallout begins.

Thursday’s synopsis reads: “With Phil left for dead, those involved take drastic action in order to cover their tracks.”

As tensions boil over for the Mitchell clan, things come to a head while it’s not yet known who attacks Phil.

But a tense trailer which the soap released does suggest his son Ben Mitchell could be involved, while it may also tie in with the potential reveal of Phil’s wife Sharon’s affair with Keanu Taylor.

Keanu is engaged to his daughter Louise and they are expecting their first child, while Sharon is currently waiting to find out if Keanu or Phil is the father of her own unborn baby.

This, along with the new spoiler mentioned above, hints there isn’t just one suspect in the frame with more than one character involved somehow.

Kat Moon also crosses Phil in the lead-up to the shock attack with the Slaters feeling his wrath after stealing his money.

It continues in the final episode of the week too, with Walford coming to terms with Phil’s attack.

Friday’s spoiler reads: “With Phil’s life hanging in the balance, tensions grow in the Square.”

Viewers will have to tune in all that week to see what happens to Phil, and find out who may have attacked him.

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm.
