EastEnders confirms Christmas Day death horror and double return twist

EastEnders Christmas Day spoilers are in - and it's going to be an action-packed double episode with a death teased, and a double return.

In the fallout to Ian Beale's deadly attack, someone is still out to get him as the mystery culprit's identity remains unknown.

As Christmas Day lands in Walford, someone takes "lethal" action - hoping to harm Ian yet again, and this time kill him.

It's teased the episode could see the end of the soap legend, but who wants Ian dead?

It's all set to be revealed in the extended episode as to who attacked him this month, and why they are out to get him.

Ian will be fearing for his life in the scenes back in The Queen Vic where he almost lost his life recently.

Alone, he is horrified that someone will kill him - as the attacker is soon unveiled.

But will they get their Christmas wish in killing him for once and for all?

Either way it's teased that death could hit Walford if the attacker gets their way - promising some huge scenes during the big episode especially towards the end.

Elsewhere, and there's a double return leading to horror for Denise Fox.

She's left in fear too when she comes face-to-face with her serial killer ex Lucas Johnson.

But there's questions ahead, when it emerges he isn't the only one back - with his daughter Chelsea Fox in tow.

Viewers will learn more about what brings them both back, and why they are together.

Considering Chelsea fled Walford around 10 years ago after her father's crimes were exposed, it remains to be known where this plot is going.

Denise warns her that Lucas is dangerous, after her creepy encounter with him earlier on.

Lies and deceit are set to come out in the open, with an arrest also made which is linked to Ian's attack - but have they got the right person?

EastEnders airs Mondays at 8.05pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.35pm and Fridays at 8.35pm on BBC One.
