EastEnders fans hoping for their tonight's fix of the BBC soap will be left disappointed.
The final episode of the week will not air in its usual time slot this evening.
Instead, BBC One is airing live coverage of the France vs South Korea game during the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Match of the Day coverage begins at 7:30pm on the channel, right through until 10pm.
But fear not Walford fans, as the episode already aired last night and is available in BBC iPlayer.
As an extra bonus too, an action-packed summer trailer will drop at some point bringing even more Walford drama.
The BBC soap's Twitter page revealed yesterday: “Hold the phone! Not ONLY are we going to be dropping our summer trailer like it’s hot today.
“There are also two episodes of #EastEnders tonight. 7.30pm and 8.30pm. You won’t want to miss a single minute.”
Viewers were divided over the news as many were excited about getting a double instalment, as others really wanted Friday’s episode to air as usual.
One fan commented: “Oh wow my days heated up already thanks to you.”
Another agreed: “2 episodes and a summer trailer all in one day. My day has been made already and it's not even 10am yet.”
However a third simply said: “Nooooo,” echoed by other upset viewers looking forward to ending the week on a high.
EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
