Clever detector dog Waffle sniffed out a whopping €7.7 million worth of tobacco being illegally smuggled into Dublin Port.
Over 12.5 tonnes of "roll your own tobacco" was discovered by officers as a result of routine profiling.
The consignment of smuggled tobacco branded "The Turner Original", ‘EastEnders", "Henley" and "Flandria", originated in Bulgaria.
It represented a potential loss to the Exchequer of approximately €6.3 million.
A Revenue spokeswoman said: "Investigations are ongoing.
"This seizure is part of Revenue’s ongoing operations targeting the shadow economy and the supply and sale of illegal tobacco products.
