EastEnders' Ben tipped to kill again as he hints Heather's murder wasn't one-off

EastEnders viewers were a little creeped out when Ben Mitchell made a confession about his killer past on Tuesday.

The character issued a threat to Lola Pearce’s secret fiancé Ewan, after he tried to get her to return to Newcastle.

Ben needs Lola’s help in fleecing dad Phil, so decided to take matters into his own hands in the latest instalment of the BBC soap.

Ewan was shocked as Ben, who called himself a “psycho”, brought up the moment he accidentally murdered Heather Trott in 2012.

But it’s what he said next that left viewers and Ewan unnerved, as he hinted it might not be a one-off crime.

He told Ewan: “Lola didn’t tell you what I did as a kid, did she? She was probably too embarrassed.

“With me being Lexi’s biological dad she might have thought I’d passed on the gene.”

When quizzed about what he meant, he responded: “The psycho gene. I killed someone, when I was 16.

“I only did two years for it mind on account for it being reduced to manslaughter. Of course with me being so young, they were all over me like a dose of chicken pox.”

Ben continued: “You look very alarmed Ewan, are you alright?”

He then went on: “Most of the time, I am a very, very nice person. I’m friendly, I’m charming, I’d do anything for anyone me.

“But sometimes that button gets pushed, and you really don’t wanna be in my way when that happens.”

He then told Ewan that if he didn’t leave Walford and Lola for good, he’d kill him and his foster mum leaving him, and viewers, mortified.

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
