EastEnders' Ben tipped to be killed by dad Phil after he attacks him with brick

EastEnders viewers have predicted a shock death could be looming for Ben Mitchell, after his dad Phil swore revenge.

Ben, now played by actor Max Bowden, attacked his own father by hitting him over the head with a brick in Tuesday’s episode.

It came after the kidnap of his sister Louise at the hands of Midge and Danny, with Ben and Phil looking for her and Keanu at the docks.

But he was out of his depth after his dealings with gangster Danny, while Phil believed it was his own business with him that was to blame.

Keanu was recently given a job to do for Danny by Phil, but refused to carry it out when he discovered they were human trafficking.

Ben on the other hand agreed to work with them, and even tried setting business up with Danny behind dad Phil’s back.

It came back to haunt him though, amid Phil’s own issues with Danny, when Louise was kidnapped with her life in danger.

On Tuesday, as Phil searched for Louise, he was struck on the back of the head with a brick by Ben.

His son then stole his phone to make contact with Danny, trying to fix their drama and even continue business, without his loved ones paying the price.

Danny then sent a message to Phil’s phone, telling him he didn’t take kindly to threats, only for Phil to see.

Phil quickly worked out that someone was working against him and had been in contact with Danny, swearing to make them pay, leaving Ben unnerved.

Viewers believed he had rumbled Ben, and that he might even murder his own son once he knew the whole truth, with one fan tweeting: “Ben's totally screwed now Phil's officially on to him ain't he?”

Another said: “Phil is gonna be onto Ben like a fly to s**t, pretty soon,” as a third commented: “Ben looks a bit worried and he should be with Phil on the hunt.”

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
