EastEnders' Fitzy's fate is revealed in upcoming scenes after he was stabbed by a man who had mugged Kat Slater, when he and fellow police officer Callum Highway tried to chase him down.
His life has been hanging in the balance, but thankfully he is confirmed as being in a stable condition in hospital.
The drama continues for Callum and husband Ben Mitchell, as Ben gets the wrong end of the stick and ends up convinced Callum is cheating on him with his ex, Whitney Dean.
Ash arrives and realises Callum’s family are going through a lot and, after previously refusing to give him any info earlier, she tells him that Fitzy is stable but he is sworn to secrecy.

However, Whitney overhears and Callum promises to explain everything to Ben after he has spoken to Fitzy.
Ben spots Callum getting into a cab with Whitney while they leave to go and visit Fitzy but it looks like something else completely to him, and he is certain they are romantically involved.
Later, Callum tells Whitney he is plagued by the stabbing, and he cannot face going home, and she recognises that he is suffering from PTSD.

The condition is already evident in Callum, who lashed out in Tuesday's episode and punched a wall, sobbing, refusing to admit to anyone that he was hurting.
Callum blames himself after he decided to go after the mugging suspect instead of calling it in near the end of their shift.
Fitzy took some persuasion but decided to help Callum to chase the individual, only to get stabbed and almost killed.

The BBC soap confirmed the character will struggle with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in the fallout of the attack on his friend and colleague - with him having experienced the disorder in the past back in 2018.
Will Callum open up to his loved ones, or is could this be the end of the road already for newlyweds Ben and Callum?
EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
