EastEnders' Ben Mitchell makes cryptic phone call after discovering huge betrayal

EastEnders airs fresh drama for Ben Mitchell next week, as spoilers for the BBC soap confirm that he's left feeling very betrayed.

The character makes a cryptic phone call in retaliation, but what will it mean for those linked to Ben?

At the start of the week Ben is helping Kheerat Panesar, who has requested his aid in organising protection for his brother Jags in prison.

As he hands Ben the money, Ben's former stepmother Sharon Watts walks in and he doesn't hide his disdain.

Kheerat remains quiet amid an on/off romance with the Walford legend, but he later drops himself in it.

Ben demands an explanation from his partner, but will he get the one he's after?

Later on, a devastated Ben ends up drinking and in his tipsy state he prepares to make the call to help out Jags.

Upset after earlier events, he's left furious when he suddenly spots Kheerat with Sharon despite him having made his feelings very clear.

Seeing it as a fresh betrayal, Ben makes a cryptic phone call - while details have yet to be revealed.

Later in the week, Callum shares his worry after Ben stays out all night - but can the pair sort things out?

Kheerat decides to cool things with Sharon, especially with his mother Suki not approving.

He soon meets up with Ben and comes clean about the romance, unaware Ben has seen them together.

As he declares they are over, he thanks Ben for looking after Jags and organising the prison protection.

Suddenly Ben appears to be struggling with guilt over recent actions, but what has he done?

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
