Eastenders star Emma Barton became emotional while awarding the One Show's weekly Big Thank You to Jade who has down syndrome and has been volunteering to help the elderly and others in the community.
Jade was born with down syndrome and her mother Sarah, who nominated Jade, was told that Jade would never walk or talk.

Proving everyone wrong Jade can now walk and talk and has been volunteering in a café for elderly people for 11 years and this year skydived from 15 thousand feet to raise money for the London Air Ambulance.
To thank Jade for all her dedicated efforts to helping others in the community the One Show sent Eastenders star Emma Barton to surprise Jade while she was at the Croydon Mencap's Centre with her friends.
Completely shocked Jade became emotional as Emma came into the centre and explained why she was there.
As Jade began to joyfully cry, Emma also became emotional with her voice cracking as she said: "You really are, don't make me cry, you are a superstar!"
Other celebrities also sent Jade their thanks including Strictly Star Anton Du Beke, who was Emma's partner when she was on Strictly Come Dancing in 2019 when they reached the final, and One Show host Rowan Keating.
Still emotional Emma spoke to Jade's Mum saying: "Mum you must be very proud" as everyone clapped Jade.
