West Lothian’s Junior clubs will see no further action this season after the East Region declared the campaign null and void.
The decision was made following the latest government announcement that contact sports wouldn’t be returning until May 17 at the earliest.
Most clubs had played between just one and three competitive fixtures this season with the league reaching the conclusion that it was now infeasible to play the season to a finish.
The decision means that a number of West Lothian clubs have likely played their final game in the Junior ranks with several having declared their intention to turn senior in time for the 2021/22 season.
Bathgate Thistle, Livingston United, Pumpherston, West Calder United and Whitburn have all confirmed they have applied for a place in the East of Scotland Football League, while Harthill Royal are looking to move to the West of Scotland.
