East Midlands urban design team gets a boost

An East Midlands based planning and urban design consultancy has strengthened its team with a duo of new hires.

nineteen47 has recruited Rebecca Beardsley and Harriet Frank as planners.

The two new additions form part of the firm’s strategy for growth, which has recently seen it take larger premises in Nottingham to accommodate its planned expansion.

Rebecca, who has three years’ experience within the planning and development sector, says she is looking forward to working across the firm’s national portfolio of clients which includes national names such as JD Wetherspoons, PureGym and Avant Homes.

She said: "I am excited to work with such a driven team and being able to get involved in a vast array of different project across a range of different sectors; the variety of clients and types of work keeps the job really interesting day to day.

“I am also keen to work closely with the urban design team too and understand more about that area of the business. nineteen47 is a young and growing company, which I am really pleased to be a part of.”

Harriet, who is also a chartered surveyor, previously worked for the North York Moors National Park Authority where she gained experience of a range of heritage and conservation issues.

She said: “I am currently studying part-time towards a Masters degree in architectural technology and design, so I am excited about working with the design team moving forwards too.”

Tom Collins, associate director at the firm, added that the new recruits formed an important part of the company’s upcoming plans for expansion.

He said: “Since starting the business three years ago, we have experienced year-on-year growth thanks to our highly skilled and dedicated team of planners and urban designers.

"Rebecca and Harriet are both extremely talented professionals and we are delighted to welcome them to the team.”
