Woodland in East Lothian has been left badly burnt following a huge fire at the weekend.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and East Lothian Rangers have each hit out at those responsible for setting fires and having barbecues in "inappropriate places".
One such incident led to a fire growing out of control in a wooded area close to Tyninghame Beach on Sunday afternoon.
Fire crews rushed to the area shortly after 12.30pm and were met by a blaze which covered an area of 20 metres by 20 metres. Firefighrers managed to put out the flames and there were no injuries in the incident.
However East Lothian Rangers pointed to the fact that such incidents post a "high risk" of leading to significant damage.

They said: "Despite our no fires post and on-site signs, there were still people lighting fires and having bbqs in inappropriate places.
"The fire brigade were called out to one incident of a fire that had got out of control.
"Please do not light fires in woods or on grasslands.
"Everywhere is bone dry at the moment and there is a high risk of fires causing significant damage."
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service say two appliances were sent to tackle the blaze on Sunday, and crews left after the flames were put out.
A spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 12.42pm on Sunday, April 18 to reports of a fire in the open near Tyninghame Beach, East Lothian.
“Operations Control mobilised two appliances and firefighters extinguished a fire in a wooded area which covered approximately 20m x 20m.
“Crews left after ensuring the area was made safe.
“There were no reported casualties.”
