Public toilets in an East Lothian town have been closed after fires were lit inside and drains were deliberately blocked.
East Lothian Council took to social media to inform locals in Tranent that the public toilets on Lindores Drive will remains closed while 'repairs are carried out' due to vandalism.
They say doors have been damaged and bins have been set on fire as a video was uploaded showing the condition of the toilets with wet toilet roll thrown against the walls and ceilings as well as extensive damage within.

The incident is reportedly not the first time the only toilets in the town have been targeted by vandals, with temporary closures enforced in recent years.
An East Lothian Council spokesperson said: "Unfortunately as a result of recent vandalism the Tranent public toilets will remain closed until repairs are carried out and stock replaced. The toilets have been subject to deliberate blocking of drains, damage to doors and fires set in bins."
Recently, in Edinburgh, campaigners from Living Rent's Gorgie and Dalry union staged a protest on the streets in relation to a lack of public toilets in the area. They spoke with several members of the group and locals who voiced their opinion on the need for more public facilities.
Living Rent say that since loss of the Ardmillan Terrace public toilets in 2015, the Gorgie and Dalry area has had no facilities, with the closest being over a mile away. A spokesperson for the Scottish Government said the issue lies with local authorities.
