East Lothian police catch reckless drivers travelling at nearly 100mph on A1

On Saturday, the road policing team charged two drivers for speeding at just under 100mph near Gladsmuir, nearly 30 miles over the speed limit.

On Sunday, officers also stopped a vehicle on the same road at Dunbar, which was found to have no valid insurance, MOT or tax.

After being discovered, the vehicle was seized by officers and the driver was charged with the relevant road traffic legislation.

The reports for each individual have now been sent to the procurator fiscal.
