East Lothian man catches JustEat driver 'tucking into his KFC order outside house'

On a Bank Holiday Monday there's nothing quite like a takeaway to cure the hangover from the night before, but for one Musselburgh local it would appear that his delivery driver may have needed it more than him.

This is the moment 30-year-old Daniel Morrison claims to have caught a brazen JustEat driver apparently scoffing the KFC lunch he had ordered in the carpark of his building this afternoon.

In footage shared with Edinburgh Live , a driver of a red car can be seen sitting inside the vehicle outside his property - with Daniel exclaiming 'there he is, just tucking away!".

The Musselburgh man had placed an order with Fort Kinnaird's branch of KFC via the popular takeaway app this afternoon, but was left confused when it had been marked delivered.

Using the JustEat app, Daniel was able to locate the self-employed driver outside his property, who appeared to be sitting eating the order.

"I ordered it and at first it said it would be 15 minutes, then 50 and I thought why is this taking so long?," Daniel told Edinburgh Live.

"And then suddenly the app told me it had been delivered. I was in my kitchen having a cigarette out my window and then I spotted the car and the driver was holding a huge brown bag.

"You could also see the big insulated JustEat bag next to him and I thought 'that's definitely my order', and then he started tucking into it!

"My cousin went out to speak to him and he was sitting in the car dipping my chicken strips into the sauce - my address was on the paper bag he was scoffing out of."

In a second clip, Daniel shouts at the driver of the vehicle from his flat's window, calling 'You're at it, that better no be my food!' after the driver denies working for the popular delivery service.

"I tried to phone Fort Kinnaird, said they can't do anything to help. When we approached him he drove off immediately - the cheek of it! It's a Bank Holiday, I had a few drinks and I was rough, that was meant to be my hangover cure!".

A spokesperson for Just Eat said: "At Just Eat, we want all of our customers to have a positive experience when ordering food online and expect all couriers delivering on our behalf to act respectfully and responsibly at all times. We are currently investigating the incident and are also in touch with the customer."
