East Lothian rangers have issued an urgent warning after the water at a local beauty spot was found to be polluted.
Speaking on Friday afternoon (September 23), those responsible for looking after Levenhall Links told local residents to be cautious when visiting the site over the weekend.
With the weather set to be mild and pleasant for Saturday, many are expected to visit or travel through the area, which is often busy with residents enjoying the scenery.

However, after the water was found to have been of "poor quality" those who may have been using the boating pond have been told to limit their visit to just 60 minutes.

Warning locals that they should "limit their exposure" to the water, a notice was posted online and on the links noticeboard, with testing ongoing into the water quality.
Speaking on social media, East Lothian rangers said: "Recent water sample tests of Levenhall Links boating pond have indicated poor water quality. Users should limit their exposure to less than 60 minutes. Monitoring and testing is ongoing."
