East Lothian café creates show-stopper banoffee scone cake - stuffed with Nutella and whipped cream

Yes you read right, a café in East Lothian has invented a banoffee scone cake - and it's just one of many flavours that the caff has invented.

This monster from The Filling Station (there's a branch in Longniddry and in Prestonpans ) is made of five layers of banana scone with Nutella and whipped cream squeezed in between and smothered in caramel sauce, topped with chocolate twirls and dried banana decorations.

JUST LOOK AT THE SIZE OF IT!

At a dizzying 1ft tall and twenty inches wide, it's safe to say that the scone cake is a serious party-piece and will be the main point of conversation at any event.

The cake serves 15 people (if you feel like sharing) and there are in fact different flavours available on request - just let your imagination run wild.

The price of the bespoke scone tower depends on the flavour you choose - simply message The Filling Station's Facebook page if you would like to enquire about receiving your own showstopper.

The café has two East Lothian branches, one in Longniddry and Prestonpans and are well known for their adventurous scone combos such as smoky bacon and chive.

As well as their sweet treats the caff also stocks interesting pie fillings like ‘hoisin chilli chicken’ and 'spicy halloumi'
