Edinburgh shoppers were left stunned as they discovered various Christmas confectionery on sale in supermarkets three months before the big day.
Posting online, Lee Curtis snapped the photos of the candy, with the caption: "Hurry, get them before they’re gone, limited time only…. Just a third of the year to go."
The confectionery, all Cadbury's chocolates including popular treat Snow Balls and Snowy Chocolate Fingers, were put on the shelves in the Dunbar Asda, on September 1 according to Lee.
Other people expressed their well-natured frustration at the premature sales, with one comment stating: "Don't, I am sick of seeing them all day already!
"I stare at them all when in Counters, I can't get away from them."
Others wanted to make sure that other Autumn holiday's weren't forgotten in the Christmas hype, saying: "Pumpkins and Fireworks before the C word is even considered."

Another comment disagreed with the hate on the candy, saying: "Getting excited already! But I will go my summer holidays first before I start my Xmas shopping!"
With Christmas a mere 114 days away, festive fans better start their shopping now, before it is all gone!
