Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “These resurfacing improvements on the A1 in East Lothian represent a significant investment by Transport Scotland to ensure smoother and safer journeys for motorists.

“We’re fortunate that there are convenient diversion routes along this stretch of the trunk road, so we don’t expect these works to cause significant delays. If you do need to travel on these nights, our advice is to allow a couple of extra minutes for your journey.

“We’re grateful to road users and local communities for their patience and understanding while we complete these improvements.”
