Graeme Robertson expects big crowds at the official opening of the Angus McConnell summer league on Saturday.
EKYM host Claremont AFC at Kirktonholme at 2pm for the inaugural 45-game competition featuring local sides.
Teams will battle it out for the Angus McConnell memorial trophy, named in honour of the legendary EKYM figure.
His family members are sponsoring the league and they’ll be in attendance to officially open it on Saturday with spectators allowed in free of entry.
Robertson said: “I’ve been blown away by the amount of interest in the tournament.

“We’ve had unbelievable crowds at all our games at home and we had an away game at Eaglesham last week and we had over 100 away fans.
“Everybody has missed football and we are expecting really big crowds throughout the tournament because it’s local.
“We are hoping for an impressive crowd and we can accommodate a good amount of people.
"Everybody is socially distanced and they have to stay away from the playing zone which people are respecting.
“The event is completely free and we’ve got Angus’ niece and husband, who are kindly sponsoring the tournament, coming to open it up for our game at 2pm.

“They’ll be there to get a photograph and to toss the coin to get everything underway.
"It’s all part of our centenary year and I can’t wait for it all.
“I’m really looking forward to it and it’s brilliant to be back playing.
"We’ve got nine games before our season starts and it’s great preparation for the Caledonian League.”
