A yellow weather warning has been issued in East Kilbride for thunderstorms and heavy rain this weekend.
The Met Office state that there will be "heavy showers and thunderstorms will bring difficult travelling conditions and localised flooding" today and tomorrow.
They say this could result in "driving conditions will be affected by spray", as well as "standing water and/or hail" which will result in longer journey times by car and bus
This could also lead to "delays to train services " and "some short term loss of power and other services is likely."
The heavy thunderstorms could damage "a few buildings and structures from lightning strikes."
There is also a risk of "some flooding of a few homes and businesses."
On Sunday a spell of heavy rain is expected, which the Met Office state "which may lead to some flooding and travel disruption."
The weather warning is currently in place until Tuesday.
