East Kilbride unleash scathing referee Twitter rant amid Bonnyrigg defeat

The East Kilbride FC official Twitter took aim at the referee in a series of bizarre posts during their first defeat of the season at Bonnyrigg Rose.

Kilby were knocked off top spot in the Lowland League today with two Lee Currie penalties enough for the home side, with Ricky Miller's strike proving to be nothing but a consolation.

Stevie Aitken's side were handed several yellow cards, with former Rangers man Kyle Hutton seeing red at New Dundas Park.

Chris Erskine also saw a goal ruled out for offside in the first half.

However, in a string of tweets with some GIFs added for good measure, Kilby slammed the man in the middle for his performance.

When midfielder Hutton received his first yellow, they official account of the tier five side noted: "Hutton finds himself in the referees book for what we are unsure and has given Bonnyrigg Rose a free kick again we are unsure."

At the end of the first half with the Lanarkshire outfit trailing the club posted: "The first half has had many questionable decisions here hoping the official regroup at half time and come out for the second half with a fairer approach."

After substitute Daryl Healy was booked, they continued "We don't normally tweet about the official but it's clear what's happening here."

Following the full-time whistle, they added: "A game ruined by poor decisions."

A tough day at the office for the K-Park social media manager, but EK are a point off top spot having played a game less than new leaders BSC Glasgow.
