East Kilbride Thistle confirm new two-year deal for boss Iain Diack

East Kilbride Thistle have confirmed that manager Iain Diack has signed a two-year contract extension with the West of Scotland League outfit.

Lanarkshire Live Sport revealed earlier this week that Diack was on the verge of signing up and the Jags confirmed the former Albion Rovers striker will be staying at the Showpark for next season's Conference C campaign.

Diack and his assistant Kevin Coyle have been at the helm for just over a year, but already they have seen two seasons fail to be played to a finish due to Covid.

He has taken charge for just a handful games as a result, but he will be hoping to get a clear crack at the job when next season kicks-off in the summer.

Diack and assistant Coyle have signed a deal with the club until June 2023.

And Diack told Thistle's club media: "Myself and Kevin delighted to sign this extension, our conversations [with the club] have been very positive in recent weeks and we are all in agreement about the direction we want to take the club.

"We will look to speak to the players in the coming weeks so that we move into the new season on a positive footing."
