East Kilbride Thistle boss Iain Diack has moved to sign several players and says he now has a strong squad to choose from.
Diack has brought in 19-year-old central midfielder Dean Quinn on loan from Livingston and forward Scott McKean from Cambuslang Rangers, and expects to sign Dylan Taylor from former club Sauchie.
Several others are on trial after their clubs opted not to play in the West Of Scotland League, and Diack said: “We will be looking to add another few; a couple of guys have become available that I know personally, so we might be looking to do as many as four in the next week.
“Dylan Taylor is a guy I’ve been trying to bring in since I came here.
“We have a very strong starting 11, maybe 12 or 13 players and then it drops off a bit, but with this we’ll have a strong 18 or 19.
“We have a starting 11 and a bench, almost, but now it’s more of a squad and we know we’ve got 18 or 19 players now who can all vie for the jersey.”
With Jags’ Conference C clash at home to Yoker postponed, they beat Ashfield 2-1 at Glasgow Green, and will face Yoker on Wednesday, before travelling to St Anthony’s on Saturday.
Diack is looking forward to both games and said: “Yoker away is a difficult game, they’re pretty good at home, but we’ll be going there to get the points, the same as we’ll treat every game.
“On Saturday it’s another chance. We feel like every game in our league is a chance to get points and we’re on pretty good form.”
