East Kilbride snap up young defensive duo

East Kilbride have moved to strengthen their defence by snapping up young stars Kyle Bradley and Jordan Armstrong.

Former Rangers, Clyde and Annan centre-back Bradley and ex-Motherwell and Stenhousemuir full-back Armstrong are both 21.

Both had featured in recent pre-season games and Kilby boss Stevie Aitken told the club's website: "It's great to have brought in a couple of really good young defenders.

"They will be an important part of our group, moving forward."

Both defenders are expected to join the squad for East Kilbride's Lowland League opener at University of Stirling tomorrow.

Three young stars have also been promoted from the reserve side, with defenders Dominic McLaughlin and Jordan Armstrong (no relation to the new signing) and midfielder Greg Stewart stepping up.
