EK, East Kilbride will be limiting access to essential stores only from Friday as Lanarkshire moves to a level four lockdown.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon confirmed the tighter restrictions across the region yesterday (Tuesday) in a briefing to the Scottish Parliament.
The new restrictions will come into place from Friday and will be in place for three weeks, lifting on December 11.
It follows access being restricted during the first lockdown in March.

A spokesperson for EK, East Kilbride, said: “In response to the Scottish Government announcement that South Lanarkshire is moving to level 4 in the Covid-19 system of restrictions, EK, East Kilbride will be limiting access to essential stores only (e.g. supermarkets and pharmacies) from Friday November, 20 at 6pm.
“Click and collect from non-essential stores is allowed under Level 4, however, we would advise visitors to contact retailers directly for the most up to date information on this specific service.
“Throughout the course of the coronavirus pandemic we have followed Government guidelines closely and we are continuing to work hard to ensure that EK remains a safe environment for our visitors.
"We will continue to monitor all NHS advice and Government guidelines and will provide centre updates on our website and Facebook page as and when appropriate.
“We appreciate this a very challenging time for everyone and would like to thank all our customers, retailers and employees for their patience, understanding and support.
