East Kilbride Sea Cadets have been using their summer holidays to help keep the local area clean.
The group have been working in the community and this week they were at K-Woodlands where they have been helping clean up the green space.
K- Woodland is a community woodland in the vicinity of Peel Park.
The aim of the park is to provided an attractive and accessible greenspace for those who live and work in the surrounding area, with a number of activities also put on for the community throughout the year.
East Kilbride Sea Cadets have been more than happy to rally round and help keep the space clean and safe for everyone to use.
And the junior section were also pleased to find a potential new home for the 'bug hotel' – Premier Inn-sect - they are designing and hope to have it in situ soon.
East Kilbride Sea Cadets are open for business and have space for 10 to 12-year-olds commencing in August.
They meet at the Reserve Forces Centre at Whitemoss on a Monday at 6:30pm and have cadets join from across South Lanarkshire.
