A Snapchat video showing a schoolgirl being kicked about the head has left parents sickened.
The hard to watch 30 second clip filmed at Whitemoss roundabout today shows the victim being pushed to the ground and dragged by her hair.
She can then be seen being punched and kicked at by the attackers, before being volleyed to the head.
As another girl intervenes she is then assaulted by one of the girls before being set upon by the other two girls.
Throughout the horrifying ordeal, the girls' screams can be heard as her attackers yell "you're a f*****g wee cow", "you're f****** dead".
Another of the girls that gets involved then walks towards the camera and says "she's mad wae it".
The East Kilbride News understands the vicious attack took place at Whitemoss underpass near to St Andrew's and St Bride's High School today, but the attackers are believed to be from another East Kilbride high school.
A concerned parent said the bullying problem in the schools needed to be highlighted.
She said: "I am sick of these young girls bullying other girls. These girls bullied my daughter for a year-and-a-half and still won't stop.
"Here is another example of them attacking more 15-year-old girls. There are no stopping these bullies.
"It's a shame the police won't lock these girls up."
The News has contacted the police and South Lanarkshire Council for comment.
