East Kilbride's The Jesus And Mary Chain have announced a tiny gig next week

Cult rockers The Jesus And Mary Chain have just announced they will headline Stereo next week.

Playing the day before their sold out Barrowlands show, the legendary Calderwood rockers will play a tiny show in the 400 capacity venue on Thursday, March 19.

The band quietly announced the gig on their social media accounts this morning, tweeting an image of a mural of guitarist William Reid, with the date of the gig underneath.

The band posted the artwork on their social media this morning. (twitter jesus and mary chain)

The artwork is the same mural painted on the wall of The Murray Roundabout, which was highlighted by the East Kilbride News last year.

Set to be the hottest ticket in Glasgow, this is an opportunity any fan of the band won’t want to pass up.

The band are set to start their ‘Darklands’ UK and Europe tour next week, hitting up world famous venues.

On that tour, they will play their now legendary second album Darklands start to finish.

Tickets for the Stereo gig are on sale now and available here .
