East Kilbride nursery share heart warming video during coronavirus lockdown

An East Kilbride nursery helped spread a little cheer among children and parents amid the coronavirus lockdown by sharing a heartwarming video on social media.

The staff at Sweetie Brae private nursery decided to let everyone know how much they were missing them, holding up touching hand written posters on their Facebook page.

It has gone down a treat with parents commenting on how much they and their little ones were missing everyone at the nursery too.

Owner of the nursery, Moira Fell, told the East Kilbride News: "It was the idea of my staff who came to me and I said go for it.

"One of them is able to put together videos and they all made up their own messages, recorded them and it was pieced together.

"It is a lovely touch and it was great to see the interaction with parents too on all the lovely comments.

"If we can do anything to boost morale at what is such a difficult time then we will. Everyone is missing each other and I am lucky to have such a fantastic staff who work so hard.

"All the parents have access to learning journals online so the children can still get on with things without being physically here.

"But I am hoping whenever we get the go-ahead we will be back up and running as normal as quickly as possible."
