Four members from East Kilbride’s Yamakai Karate Club have been selected to represent Scotland at the under 21 World Karate Championships Chile later this year.

Along with club coach Jim Ross, who will be on the national coaching setup, brothers Matthew and Luke Miller will be joined by Logan Chilton in the squad heading to Santiago in October.

While Matthew and Luke are regular members of the national squad, this will be Logan’s first appearance at this level for his country.

Luke is competing in the junior male 17 years over-76 kilogrammes kumite, while Matthew takes on the best in the world at male under-21 level in the under-60kg kumite. Logan makes his bow in the junior male 16-years under-55kg kumite.
