A man remains in hospital after being injured in a gas explosion in East Kilbride.
The 52-year-old was rushed to hospital after the incident on Main Street around 11.25am on Monday.
He is being treated at Glasgow Royal Infirmary where his condition is currently unknown.
The explosion prompted an emergency response with surrounding properties evacuated as a precaution and the street closed off by police for a number of hours.
South Lanarkshire Council urged residents to avoid the area as emergency services dealt with the situation.
Pictures from the scene showed the top floor flat of the property destroyed by the explosion.
Police have confirmed that there is no suggestion of criminality in relation to the incident.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 11.25am on Monday, May 3, 2021, police received a report of a suspected gas explosion in Main Street, East Kilbride. One man, aged 52 was injured and has been taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary. A number of people were evacuated as a precaution from the surrounding buildings."
